Others hypothesized about whether Elon Musk dispute may have anything to do with the outage.

"I wonder if they are updating the website to get rid of bots etc or maybe Elon Musk broke it," they wrote.

It comes after the social media platform went down last month, leaving more than 22,000 users without access to the site
