TV star Carol Vorderman says she has ruled out dating one man at a time after discussing having multiple sexual partners - known as 'special friends'.

Carol, 62, joined Gyles Brandreth during a new dating segment on ITV This Morning as they tackled sex and relationships issues from callers.

The pair suggested how to keep a relationship flourishing well into your 60s. The running theme with callers was how they can spark a relationship and find the right person.

Carol said she's happily single but acknowledging generational differences may play a vital key moving forward.

The former Countdown star said her generation "played by a rulebook" and was apprehensive about discussing their sexuality in comparison with today's young people embrace it.

She said: "Our mothers told us to marry when we were still young so we grew up with this convention that you should find one person for life and as all the fairy tales tell you they live happily ever after"
