To expand in the UK, Nordic Streamer is in talks to buy Premier Sports.

Viaplay, which is traded on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, hopes to achieve a deal as soon as this month, according to one of the media spokespersons who declined to be named due to the sensitivity of the situation.

Scottish football, Spanish La Liga, Rugby League, and a variety of other UK-related sports are all live-broadcast on the UK television network Premier Sports.
Premier Sports is accessible via its own streaming app on Virgin Media's smartphone platform in addition to being accessible via the pay-television platform of Virgin Media and Comcast Corp.'s Sky service.
According to press announcements from the company, Viaplay shares have dropped by 50% in Stockholm trade this year, reducing the market value of the business to roughly 18.4 billion kronor ($1.7 billion).
With the launch of Viaplay in the UK, it will face competition for viewers from Sky's own live sports channels, BT Sport, and free-to-air networks like Channel 4.

The sources claimed that Premier Sports has also drawn interest from other parties. The conversations with Viaplay are still in progress, and it's not certain whether they will result in an agreement, according to the people.
Premier Sports officials could not be reached for comment right away, while a representative of Viaplay declined to comment.
