THE BEARS TRIUMPH OVER THE SEATTLE SEAHAWKS.

As they cruised to a 27-11 victory over the Seahawks in Seattle on Thursday night, the Bears maintained control throughout their second preseason game.
Coach Matt Eberflus told ESPN after the game, "I think it was a solid performance today for us. "We really did want to get going quickly, in my opinion, which is why our offense scored 10 points in the first [three] drives and our defense forced two three-and-outs. That was our message—we didn't perform particularly well in the first game. We played the second game, then. Our people found many teaching opportunities in the tape, and we will draw lessons from it."
Only one drive had quarterback Justin Fields and the first-team offense, but it was a productive one since kicker Cairo Santos converted a 35-yard field goal at the end of the 10-play, 52-yard drive.

Fields finished with an 84.8 rating after completing 5 of 7 throws for 39 yards. Fields was linked to by tight end Cole Kmet twice during the drive—a 12-yard gain on the first play from scrimmage and a 19-yard completion six plays later—despite Kmet sitting out the Bears' preseason opener against the Chiefs.
By getting the Seahawks offsides on a fourth-down attempt, Fields also extended the drive.
A 9-play, 44-yard touchdown drive by the Seahawks with 2:12 remaining was followed by a successful two-point attempt, cutting the margin to 16 points.
