Swansea City forward Flynn Downes is a target for West Ham.

90min can confirm that West Ham United and Swansea are in negotiations over a transfer for midfielder Flynn Downes.
The 23-year-old, a lifelong Hammers supporter, has played for Swansea for just one season. Last season, after moving there from Ipswich for almost £1.5 million, he made 37 appearances in the Championship.
Since Conor Gallagher returned to Chelsea after a good loan period, Downes has been on Crystal Palace's radar. The Eagles, who had a strong debut season under manager Patrick Vieira, are trying to improve their alternatives in central midfield.
But a West Ham team that is also in need of more players for the middle of the park poses a real danger to their attempt to sign Downes.
Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek, and attacking combo Pablo Fornals and Manuel Lanzini, to a lesser extent, are the only senior alternatives for the club now that Mark Noble has retired and Alex Kral has returned to Spartak Moscow following a failed loan at London Stadium.

According to Sky Sports, a deal for Downes to transfer to the London Stadium is almost complete and will cost less than £12 million. The east London club is convinced they will attain their desired outcome.
Instead, Downes ought to bolster West Ham's English alternatives, which already have Rice, Jarrod Bowen, Craig Dawson, Aaron Cresswell, and Ben Johnson as significant team players.
It will be difficult for Downes to move up to the Premier League with a club that has established itself in the European places. If a move does go forward, he will aim to succeed with it.
