More Russian military have moved into the Ukraine border region: Governor

According to the regional governor, Russia has sent more troops and equipment to its western Kursk region along the Ukrainian border.
Roman Starovoit reportedly told a regional government meeting that it was "essential to offer comprehensive support for the reception, deployment, and disposition of extra soldiers" in the region. This statement was reported by Russia's Interfax news agency.
Local authorities claim that since Russia invaded its neighbor about a year ago, Kursk has frequently been the target of Ukrainian fire.
Despite the fact that Kiev's forces have subsequently reclaimed the territories they had taken over in northeastern Ukraine, some Russian troops did enter from the Kursk region.
Amid heightened cooperative military operations in Belarus, Kiev has frequently warned that Russia may seek to retake territory in northeastern Ukraine.
