Finland declares it will support Sweden's NATO application.

According to Finland's foreign minister, despite a potential Turkish stumbling block on Sweden's NATO application, both countries still intend to join at the same time.
Pekka Haavisto stated during a news conference in Helsinki, "Our major wish is still to join NATO together with Sweden."
The NATO conference in Vilnius in July will still be a significant turning point in my hope that both countries will join NATO by the end of the year, according to Haavisto.
In response to escalating tensions with Stockholm, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan hinted on Sunday that Ankara would consent to Finland joining NATO before Sweden.
Last week, protests in Stockholm that featured the burning of a Koran prompted Turkey to halt NATO negotiations with Sweden and Finland.
