Believing in Yourself Has Unparalleled Power

May 1, 2022By smitesh vadgama

You must totally believe in yourself and your potential to live a life of high achievement.

Find me a highly successful individual who does not have a strong sense of self-confidence. It will not take place. Steve Jobs, Martin Luther King, Jr., Michael Jordan, Elon Musk, and Mark Cuban are just a handful of the many successful people who have profited significantly from this trust. However, I'm not interested in discussing their levels of achievement. It's their readiness to get back up after failing or experiencing a setback in their quest to live the life of their dreams.

Despite the massive amount of failures they had suffered in the years leading up to their significant breakthroughs, they were only able to keep going and achieve success because of their level of self-belief. Their faith was what allowed them to develop a vision so big that they didn't care how many times they failed. They were going to go where they wanted to go eventually.

You will almost certainly fail and incur a loss or setback as a business owner or entrepreneur at some point. It will happen someday, if it hasn't already. That is not meant to be depressing or discouraging; it is simply a fact of life. When it does happen, and your faith is strong, no setback or failure will be able to entirely wipe you out. The key is to have faith in oneself.

Here are two everyday habits that have continuously increased self-confidence and helped entrepreneurs overcome all self-imposed constraints.

1. Count your victories.

We have a natural propensity to focus on the negative and dwell on all of our losses for the day, rather than counting our victories and recognizing all of the good that occurred.

At the end of each day, I write down all of my accomplishments in my thankfulness journal. This could be today's, last week's, last month's, or even last year's victories. It doesn't matter when you do it; the important thing is to get into the habit of recording all of your victories. This will fill you with delight and remind you that you have accomplished great things in the past and that even greater things are possible.

Whether big or small, it doesn't matter - just count your victories

2. Speak to yourself as if you're a champion.

"Talk to yourself more than you listen to yourself," as  bestselling novelist Jon Gordon always advises. Try talking to yourself like a champion for a week instead of listening to yourself like a victim. The outcomes will, without a doubt, astound you. Talking to oneself may feel strange at first, but give it a shot and see whether it's worth the "weirdness."

It's one thing to think positive and motivating thoughts, but talking to yourself like a champion instantly reconditions your mental process. When you make it a habit to speak to yourself as though you're a champion, you won't give negative and discouraging thoughts a second thought.

Repeat words like "I am the best at what I do," "There is nothing I can't do when I fully dedicate myself," and "There is nothing ordinary about me" with conviction. "I am a champion"

You can't expect anyone else to believe in you unless you have a lot of faith in yourself. You can't expect your boss to totally trust in you if you don't believe in yourself as an employee. You can't expect an investor to believe in your ideas if you don't believe in yourself as an entrepreneur.

The men and women who make a difference in the world are all fully cognizant of the incredible power of belief.
