Actor Rhea Chakraborty Has Been Arrested In A Sushant Rajput Drug Case.

Actor Rhea Chakraborty Has Been Arrested In A Sushant Rajput Drug Case.

The nation's anti-drugs bureau has accused actress Rhea Chakraborty of purchasing drugs for her late actor partner Sushant Singh Rajput, who passed away in 2020.
She and 34 other people were charged in the well-publicized case by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), according to the chargesheet.

The 30-year-old Ms. Chakraborty is accused of funding the purchase of a minor amount of marijuana. Showik Chakraborty, her brother, is also listed as a defendant.

According to the NCB, she gave Sushant Singh marijuana after receiving it. They said that she paid for it at his request as well.
Rhea Chakraborty could spend more than ten years in prison if found guilty.

The accusations against her have been dubbed a "witch-hunt" by the actress. She had acknowledged that Sushant Singh Rajput smoked marijuana in an interview with NDTV, but she denied using narcotics or aiding in their acquisition.

I made an effort to manage him. I've never interacted with a (drug dealer) or used drugs before. She had previously told NDTV, "I am open to a blood test.

According to the NCB, Rhea Chakraborty, the defendant named in accusation number 10, received repeated supplies of marijuana from Samuel Miranda, Shovik (Riya's brother), Deepesh Sawant, and other defendants, and she then handed those deliveries to the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Additionally, at Shovik Chakraborty's request, Riya paid for those deliveries between March 2020 and September. The accusations include that Shovik, the brother of Riya, had daily contact with drug dealers and, after ordering ganja and charas, regularly received many deliveries from the co-accused as well as delivery of all the drugs for Rajput.
