A fire at a senior home in Russia claimed at least 22 lives.

The Siberian nursing home was not registered, and the authorities are currently reviewing establishments that are comparable.
At least 22 people have been killed in a fire that ravaged an elderly care facility in the Siberian city of Kemerovo, according to Russian emergency services.
According to the Russian news agency RIA Novosti and fire safety officials, the fire completely destroyed the second story of the property, which was not formally recognized as a retirement community for the elderly.
It started on Friday in a two-story timber structure in Kemerovo, which is located around 3,000 kilometers (1,900 miles) east of the Russian capital, Moscow. A couple of hours later, the fire was put out.
The structure was heated by stoves, but the source of the fire was not immediately identified, according to the Tass news agency.
It was unclear how many people resided at the independently operated facility or how many were present when the fire began.
According to officials, many nursing facilities for the elderly operate illegally across Russia and cannot be inspected since they are regarded as private property.
But according to Tass, the regional governor declared that following the fire, all institutions of this kind will be investigated.
All institutions of this type, with a focus on private ones, will be inspected. Within a week, the inspections will be finished, he promised on his Telegram channel.
64 individuals lost their lives in a Kemerovo mall fire in 2018.
